Expected results
We want an evidence that some easy elements of Music can be learned by students even without the teacher in presence.

Our experiment want to prove that it is possible to learn them through technology and peer-learning.

We also aspect an improvement of English language, ICT, team-working competences for all pupils and teachers involved.

Project Description
Do you think it's possible to learn some easy Music pieces without a teacher? is the teacher the keeper of the secret language of Music? or can the students learn by each other, using some simple video tutorials? This is our experiment.

The project was initially conceived for absolute beginners – i.e. students with no music competence and no music teacher at school (which is the case of the Hungarian partner).
Since other partners were interested in joining in, we decided to experiment with music e-learning even with classes already learning music. In this case, the expected result is an increase in their competences. We think that the correct use of videos and of the e-tools, is in itself a result, plus an increase in music competence and understanding is expected.

We will choose as Music pieces to be learned via the tutorials, short pieces of the National Anthems of the partner countries.

Timetable of tasks:

·         Setting of the blog
·         First introductions on the blog
October
·         Setting of the TwinSpace
·         Registration of pupils
·         Pupils making friends in the pupils’ corner
·         The Italian students create the video tutorials  (first two pieces of National Anthems)
·         The partners film the videos showing that the pupils either do not have music competences or do not know how to play the chosen pieces
·         All of the videos will be uploaded on youtube to be put on the TwinSpace
November-December
·         The students practice
·         All of the partners film videos of some moments of the pupils practicing
·         Videos uploaded on the TwinSpace (via youtube)
·         Students go on meeting in the pupils’ corner
January-February
·         Videos of the students playing the two target music pieces
·         Evaluation of the first stage of the project
·         If the evaluation is positive, we start the whole process again, with two new music pieces to be learned.

The project will reach its conclusion around May. If possible, a videoconference will be organized among the partners.
